Gonzalez files to run for Marion County Clerk

On February 24, 2020 first time candidate, Danielle Gonzalez, filed to run for Marion County Clerk. “I too am concerned about election security in the wake of revelations of previous election hacking attempts.” Gonzalez stated, “I am running for Marion County Clerk to provide a distinctive choice between candidates; the status quo is no longer acceptable in the age of election hacking. Democracy only works when ordinary people, like me, are willing to stand up and run for office.”

“The time is now, to elect fresh leadership that appreciates the challenges ahead and is willing to face them head on,” Gonzalez said. “I take on challenges others avoid. It is the job of the Marion County Clerk to protect the electoral process and provide equitable access and services to county residents. Marion County deserves a leader who is willing to do the hard work and bring resources to ensure the electoral integrity of our democracy.”
